Make Your Own - Eggnog

Ingredients: (for 6-8 servings)
6 Large Egg Yolks
150g of White Sugar
480ml of Whole Milk
240ml of Heavy Cream
1 tsp of Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp of Ground Nutmeg
Optional : Rum, Bourbon, or Brandy

Instructions:
In a Bowl, Whisk the Egg Yolks and Sugar until pale and slightly thickened.
In a saucepan, combine Milk, Cream and Nutmeg, heat gently until hot (not boiling)
Slowly Pour some of the Hot Milk mixture into the Yolk while whisking constantly
then pour everything back into the saucepan.
Cook until thickened on Medium-Low heat, stir constantly, until it reaches around 70°C
Remove from heat and stir in the Vanilla and any Alcohol if using
Refrigerate at least 2hrs, (it will thicken as it cools down)
Serve with a dash of Nutmeg powder on top
Naughty or nice, there’s eggnog for everyone.
